The chemical industry, as a necessary supplier of all other industries, is the provider of solutions matching humanity's current and future factual needs (access to food, drinkable water, health, energy and emission friendly housing and transportation, communication & education, women & science)
The role-out of the EPCA / UNESCO communication campaign looks as follows :
a film (3 minutes trailer and 30 seconds spot) will be shown
a/ on giant screen
- January 2011 : in front of the UNESCO building in Paris - screen will be launched at the kick-off event of the IYC 2011 on 27 and 28 January 2011
- October 2011 : screen will move to Berlin where EPCA will celebrate its 45th anniversary and hold its Annual Meeting from 1 to 5 October 2011
- December 2011 : screen to move to Brussels for the 2011 IYC closing ceremony on 5 December 2011 in the Square, Brussels

c/ in the UNESCO and other networks (EPCA member companies, associations, other stakeholders)

The EPCA / UNESCO campaign will be a great way to celebrate the IYC 2011 because it will show the world how chemistry creates feelings of beauty, comfort, appreciation and value add.
