Exhibition of equipments, assemblies and documents of diverse periods allowing to illustrate the evolution of chemical knowledge and practice.

Exhibition of equipments, assemblies and documents of diverse periods allowing to illustrate the evolution of chemical knowledge and practice. Three topics will be presented:

- The distillation, a technique for extraction of substances: distillation equipment in copper, set-up with a glass retort, a set-up with no ground glass joint, current set-up

- Vacuum technique: mercury pump, water aspirator, vane pump, diffusion pump, turbomolecular pump.

- Writings in education and research: introduction of various eras’ chemistry books with an underline on the evolution of vocabulary, notes, molecular formulae, presentations.
