A reagent must be developed to help synthesize and create and interconvert the molecules of varied functional groups in usage with minimum amount of energy and temperature and allowing more speedier reactions.
The reagent is a molecule which helps to interconvert one functional group to other.
Ex. Grignard's reagent...
There must be a molecule which can interconvert the large no. of functional groups into one another.
There are varied reagents developed for various organic synthesis; but there is no such reagent that can be used for maximum no. of organic conversions.
