Under the auspices of the Polish Presidency of the European Union and UNESCO
To celebrate the International Year of Chemistry 2011 and the birth date of the most famous female-scientist, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) will inaugurate officially on 7 November its conference centre after the name of Marie Sklodowska Curie.

Address by Prof. Hélène Langevin-Joliot, granddaughter of Marie Skłodowska Curie
Opening of an exhibition about the life of the Nobel Prize Winner with contributions from France and Poland
The event will gather an audience of around 400, including ambassadors of EU Member States to Finland, heads of EU insitutions in Helsinki, high-level representatives of the Finnish Ministry of Education and Science, representatives of the science and business community and of ECHA accredited stakeholders, the Chair of ECHA's Management Board and scientists working at ECHA.
