What better way to get the general public and kids interested in chemistry than with a chemistry fashion show.

This is a great classroom activity where students research the materials that they will wear for the show. They write a brief description of the chemical significance of the material for the announcer. The timeline begins from pre-historic to present to even postulating what will become of the future. It includes recycled materials, accessories and anything else that the imagination brings.

Topic: engaging the youth, hands-on activities, experiments, workshops, presentations, history of chemistry, exhibition, play Audience: students, general public, secondary schools, teachers, scientists, high schools, school children, educators, professional chemists, primary schools, iyc enthusiasts, international, tertiary education, researchers, global, decision makers, post graduate students, regional, post secondary students
