Out wit. Out play. Out last.

Every year, the Ateneo de Davao High School Chemistry Club hosts a variety of fun-filled chemistry activities like slime making, tie-dying, fire-writing, food chemistry lab, Chemistry magic shows, science camp, Survivor Chemistry, etc.

We would like to revive the Survivor Chemistry challenge where students will play as island cast-away trying to survive with the help of chemistry. Activities such as water purification (solar distillation/ sand-filtration) and other chemistry-related survival techniques will be included in the 4-hour long activity.

Last time we included activitiess such as: Solar still, sand water filter, smoke signals, SOS chemical catapults

Any other suggestions?

See our Survivor Chemistry banner here.

Topic: engaging the youth, engaging others, hands-on activities, play, competition Audience: students, teachers, club, secondary schools

How about exploring nutrition requirements, soil science for growing foods and solar cooking? How will they stay dry and warm?
