IYC Greetings from Uhuru
During a break last week (13-17 December 2010), Solomon Derese, a lecturer at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Nairobi, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. While at Uhuru peak (the highest peak in Africa at 5895 metres) he displayed a small banner that read “Chemistry our life, our future – IYC 2011”. This he says he did “to encourage chemists to use every avenue to celebrate IYC 2011.”
See where else is IYC generating buzz …
Wishing you a happy festive season and a successful IYC 2011!
