The 220th ECS Meeting and Electrochemical Energy Summit (Boston, MA, USA, October 9-14, 2011) provides a forum for exchanging information on the latest scientific and technical developments in the fields of electrochemical and solid-state science and technology, and includes ECS’s first Electrochemical Energy Summit.

ECS holds international meetings in the spring and fall of each year, providing a forum for exchanging information on the latest scientific and technical developments in the fields of electrochemical and solid-state science and technology. ECS meetings bring together scientists, engineers, and researchers from academia, industry, and government laboratories to share results and discuss issues on related topics through a variety of formats, such as oral presentations, poster sessions, panel discussions, and tutorial sessions.

The first-ever international Electrochemical Energy Summit is being held in conjunction with the ECS 220th Meeting. The three-day summit features a Plenary Lecture by a U.S. policy maker and a Panel Discussion including policy makers and international experts on Societal Energy Needs and Electrochemical Energy Technologies. The Summit promises to bring together policy makers and scientists, to discuss important developments surrounding electrochemistry and energy issues.
