Workshop: Chemistry and patents - success for innovation

The workshop will cover topics including commercialisation of research, patenting, importance of searching prior art, and exploiting intellectual property, with particular reference to the field of chemistry. Representatives of Patents & Licenses, the Bayerische Patentallianz GmbH will present the perspectives of national aspects of dealing with intellectual property, and  representatives from spin-off companies will present case studies of successful  exploitation of IP assets in order to encourage research and innovation. This workshop is sponsored by the Ludwig-Maximilian-University (LMU) and the European Patent Office (EPO).
