Networking Lunch - Berkeley, California, USA

Jan 18, 2011
Berkeley Environmental Chemistry Laboratory, 700 Heinz Avenue Suite 100, Berkeley, CA 94710-2721, USA

We will talk about what brought us to chemistry, the support or obstacles we encountered along the way, the brick walls and glass ceilings.

Dr. Arlene Blum, a Berkeley scientist, mountaineer and writer will join the group to share her trailblazing experiences. Dr. Blum is well known for her 1970s Science paper calling for the ban of mutagenic flame retardants from children’s sleepwear.
