Chemistry Central Journal special issue on N-Heterocyclic carbenes Jan Kuras   |   added on Feb 28, 2011    |    United Kingdom Papers are welcomed for a Special Issue in Chemistry Central Journal covering "N-Heterocyclic Carbenes". It has only been 20 years since the first stable N-heterocyclic carbene was isolated, but these compounds have already gained widespread use in chemistry, e.g. as ligands in catalysis.
