In this section, your ideas for IYC2011 can start to become reality. Here, you can submit activities for consideration and, after a short review, they will be listed below and any related events will populate the IYC calendar. Activities listed here have a clearly defined theme and describe how, when, and where they will take place.

Dr O'Too City of Chemistry

Dr O'Too is a chemistry game designed for 2011 IYC. The game will be launched on facebook in November 2010 and can be played on http://apps.facebook.com/dr_otoo .
On www.drotoo.nl Dutch schools can join our competition. The best may compete in the Dr O'Too Battle at the Dutch Chemistry Day the 21th of May 2011.
Global Stamp Competition: Chemistry as a Cultural Enterprise

The Global Stamp Competition (IUPAC's CCE, Christiane Reiners and Lida Schoen) was launched at the opening ceremony of IYC 2011 in Paris on January 27-28, 2011. The competition was open to students all over the world in 3 age categories (12-14, 15-18 and undergraduates / teacher students from all subjects (not only chemistry!)
PAC Symposium 2011

Every year, the PAC symposium, a joint initiative of 4 student organisations, is held at one of the Dutch universities, featuring lectures from both foreign and Dutch researchers. This year's symposium, addressing a.o. chemistry students, celebrates the IYC, as well as curiosity, the driving force behind science.
