“INSPIRE” - a seminar on the Indian department of science and technology program

A seminar talk on the theme “INSPIRE” a programme initiated by DST (department of science and technology) was given by prof. T.K.chandrasekhar, Director NISER Bhubaneswar which was based on the different avenues in the field of chemistry.

TIFR Public Outreach and Pratibha Study Circle Mulund bring you a lecture-demonstration specially for the International Year of Chemistry on 7th Dec. 2011. This programme will be in Marathi, and will showcase a series of fun hand-on chemistry experiments, many of which can be done with simple "chemicals" found in the kitchen!

Chai and Why? is TIFR's twice-a-month science cafe. Prof. Vidita Vaidya looks at the variety of molecules that serve as messengers between neurons in the brain. Some of them including serotonin, norepinephrine, anandamide and dopamine are molecules that shape complex emotions like happiness, motivation, fear and love.
