“INSPIRE” - a seminar on the Indian department of science and technology program Bhagyabati Nayak   |   added on Nov 28, 2011    |    India A seminar talk on the theme “INSPIRE” a programme initiated by DST (department of science and technology) was given by prof. T.K.chandrasekhar, Director NISER Bhubaneswar which was based on the different avenues in the field of chemistry.

This programme will be in Marathi, and will showcase a series of fun hand-on chemistry experiments, many of which can be done with simple "chemicals" found in the kitchen!

Chai and Why? Molecules that modulate your mood Arnab Bhattacharya   |   added on Nov 22, 2011    |    India Chai and Why? is TIFR's twice-a-month science cafe. Prof. Vidita Vaidya looks at the variety of molecules that serve as messengers between neurons in the brain. Some of them including serotonin, norepinephrine, anandamide and dopamine are molecules that shape complex emotions like happiness, motivation, fear and love.
