School Packs Global Water Experiment in Sri Lanka N.M. Sanjaya Hettigedara   |   added on Jan 26, 2012    |    Sri Lanka Being the focal point for IYC 2011 and the Global Water Experiment in Sri Lanka, this Institute has received 5 School Packs and 5 Sets of Printed Material from IUPAC/UNESCO for distribution to the schools in needs of equipment to participate in the Global Experiment.

Sinhala, Tamil, and English School Essay/Arts/Poster Competition - ‘chemistry and our daily life' N.M. Sanjaya Hettigedara   |   added on Nov 05, 2011    |    Sri Lanka IYC 2011 National Secretariat (Sri Lanka) has planned to conduct a School Essay/Arts/Poster competition with a view to increasing the enthusiasm and awareness of chemistry in day to life, of the people. The consent of the Ministry of Education, Sri Lanka has been obtained. The dates are yet to be finalized.

CHEMEX-2 Exhibition & Open Days at The Institute of Chemistry Ceylon , Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka N.M. Sanjaya Hettigedara   |   added on Nov 05, 2011    |    Sri Lanka The Exhibition and Open days conducted from 24-26 November, involved display of exhibits of academic nature mainly in Chemistry, Magic Shows in Chemistry, Seminars etc. This will be of immense benefit to the students.
