Celebrating IYC at Vadamaradchy, Point Pedro, Northern Province, Sri Lanka N.M. Sanjaya Hettigedara   |   added on Aug 26, 2011    |    Sri Lanka The International Year of Chemistry 2011 was celebrated on a grand scale by the Zonal Education Department of Vadamaradchy on 24 June 2011 at J/Methodist Girls School, Point Pedro. Vadamaradchy Education Zone was the first to organize IYC -2011 celebrations in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka.

Produce a card game, "CHEMISTRY QUEST" and hold related events Daigo Fujita   |   added on Aug 15, 2011    |    Japan Create and promote "CHEMISTRY QUEST", an academic and game based on chemical bond which was produced by a elementaly student. Hot events at cafe in Shinjyuku-ku, Tokyo, for learning and enjoying chemistry using the card game.

Limerick - Exhibition: “Marie Curie (1867 - 1934)” Annaïk Genson   |   added on Jul 27, 2011    |    Ireland The Materials and Surface Science Institute at the University of Limerick is hosting in August the exhibition "Marie Curie (1867 - 1934)" in partnership with the Embassy of France in Ireland as part of the International Year of Chemistry 2011.
