Here, you can submit activities for consideration and, after a short review, they will be listed below and any related events will populate the IYC calendar. Activities listed here have a clearly defined theme and describe how, when, and where they will take place.

Poster competition for Celebrating IYC 2011 Can Zhang   |   added on Jan 12, 2011    |    China Chinese Chemical Society has launched an activity: “Poster competition for celebrating International Year of Chemistry”. This is one of a serious activities celebrating IYC 2011 in China. The competition is scheduled from Jan.1 to Dec.31, 2011.

National contest: "Les futurs chimistes de Haiti" Mardochée Réveil   |   added on Jan 11, 2011    |    Haiti It is a contest for high school students of Haiti. The participants will answer questions about general and mineral chemistry and about the history of this science. The contest will be conducted by department. Each school will have a representative student and the best of all will be honored and rewarded.

Lebanese Chemistry Olympiade Brigitte Wex   |   added on Jan 05, 2011    |    Lebanon On April 2, 2011, the Lebanese Chemistry Olympiad in the discipline Acid-Base Titrations will be held celebrating IYC2011. Up to 20 high school students can participate and will be judged based on accuracy, precision, and technique. The results will be celebrated at the Annual Science and Arts Fair.
