Here, you can submit activities for consideration and, after a short review, they will be listed below and any related events will populate the IYC calendar. Activities listed here have a clearly defined theme and describe how, when, and where they will take place.

Workshop International Year of Chemistry

In this workshop we will celebrate the IYC in the Federal University of São Carlos, Brazil. The program includes a round-table and four plenary lectures presented by distinguished researchers from Brazil, Spain and USA.

The Malta V Conference, the fifth in the series “Frontiers of Chemical Sciences: Research and Education in the Middle East”, will be held at UNESCO Headquarters with a focus on the objectives of IYC. This conference features presentations from five (5) Nobel Laureates, 4 of whom are Chemistry Nobel Laureates.

A Chemistry of Music

The Hebrides Ensemble perform an evening of music to celebrate International Year of Chemistry 2011. The programme includes works by Beethoven and Borodin, plus a new work by Scottish composer Julian Wagstaff commissioned especially for the occasion by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
