Here, you can submit activities for consideration and, after a short review, they will be listed below and any related events will populate the IYC calendar. Activities listed here have a clearly defined theme and describe how, when, and where they will take place.

Science Fair / Feria de Ciencias Mariscal Sucre

This activity is to provide a forum for promoting research skills and dissemination of scientific knowledge where children and young people engage in a study of an event or natural phenomenon, and an opportunity to apply their knowledge in the exhibition of prototypes, tests and experiments.

In conjuction with the University of Botswana Chemistry department, the ministry of Education is organising chemistry fair days around the country. Lecturers from the university are touring the nation taking chemistry to students and teachers in primary and secondary schools.

National Chemistry Week

On October 25 and 26, Eastman and the Northeast Tennessee Section of the American Chemical Society will host the 21st annual award winning “Celebration of Chemistry for 4th Graders.” Over 27,000 children have participated in this event since its inception in 1991.
