Here, you can submit activities for consideration and, after a short review, they will be listed below and any related events will populate the IYC calendar. Activities listed here have a clearly defined theme and describe how, when, and where they will take place.

Chemistry YouTube Video Competition in Jamaica Vaughn Rattray   |   added on Aug 27, 2011    |    Jamaica The competition entitled “Chemistry in Everyday Life” will invite secondary level local schools to submit video clips depicting this theme.These will be posted on YouTube and the winner will then be decided by the number of ‘likes’ each video has received.

Celebrating IYC at Vadamaradchy, Point Pedro, Northern Province, Sri Lanka N.M. Sanjaya Hettigedara   |   added on Aug 26, 2011    |    Sri Lanka The International Year of Chemistry 2011 was celebrated on a grand scale by the Zonal Education Department of Vadamaradchy on 24 June 2011 at J/Methodist Girls School, Point Pedro. Vadamaradchy Education Zone was the first to organize IYC -2011 celebrations in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka.
