In this section, your ideas for IYC2011 can start to become reality. Here, you can submit activities for consideration and, after a short review, they will be listed below and any related events will populate the IYC calendar. Activities listed here have a clearly defined theme and describe how, when, and where they will take place.

UBC Chemistry invites the public to the department to check out what we do, and celebrate IYC during the National Week of Chemsitry. With presentations, demos, hands-on activities, facility tours and liquid nitrogen ice-cream, this is sure to be a great day of chemistry for everyone!

Chemistry display booth at the Port Hope fall fair

A display booth will be operated at the Port Hope Fall Fair September 16 - 18, to provide examples of some of the benefits of chemistry in society, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Marie Curie’s Nobel prize in chemistry and to create an interest in chemistry in the younger generation.
