In this section, your ideas for IYC2011 can start to become reality. Here, you can submit activities for consideration and, after a short review, they will be listed below and any related events will populate the IYC calendar. Activities listed here have a clearly defined theme and describe how, when, and where they will take place.

Chemistry of Cosmetics

A continuation of ISC's "Chemistry for Grown-ups" series that began with beer, whiskey and chocolate, with upcoming programs on honey and coffee. A professor of chemistry and a cosmetic chemist will explain about the chemical content and properties of personal care products and direct people in conducting experiments.

On October 25 and 26, Eastman and the Northeast Tennessee Section of the American Chemical Society will host the 21st annual award winning “Celebration of Chemistry for 4th Graders.” Over 27,000 children have participated in this event since its inception in 1991.
