Here, you can submit activities for consideration and, after a short review, they will be listed below and any related events will populate the IYC calendar. Activities listed here have a clearly defined theme and describe how, when, and where they will take place.

Chemistry at the Garden

A 3 month exhibition from October to December at the University of Oxford Botanic Garden in conjunction with the University of Oxford Chemistry Department. The exhibition will focus on the links between plants and chemistry - photosynthesis, pigments, the chemistry of taste and smell, new materials inspired by plants etc.

George Whitesides (Harvard University) a world renowned scientist and advocate for chemistry as a solution to global health and energy needs will give a technical lecture "Reinventing Chemistry" and lead a panel discussion "Solving Problems or Satisfying Curiousity." A student poster session will be held.

It is aimed at providing an exposure to Chemistry lab, to the Government School Children. perhaps, it could be their First step in to a Chemistry lab. MSc Chemistry students will be the volunteers in explaining them and shall display posters in Marathi(the local language).
