Here, you can submit activities for consideration and, after a short review, they will be listed below and any related events will populate the IYC calendar. Activities listed here have a clearly defined theme and describe how, when, and where they will take place.

IYC Seminars in Lebanon

In celebration of the International Year of Chemistry (IYC2011) and in coordination with the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) and UNESCO, the Department of Chemistry at the American University of Beirut will organize seminars by distinguished scientists.

Lebanese Chemistry Olympiade

On April 2, 2011, the Lebanese Chemistry Olympiad in the discipline Acid-Base Titrations will be held celebrating IYC2011. Up to 20 high school students can participate and will be judged based on accuracy, precision, and technique. The results will be celebrated at the Annual Science and Arts Fair.
Undergraduate Organic Competition

An Undergraduate Organic Competition is scheduled on Feb 7, 2011 to celebrate IYC 2011. The competition is open to ALL students who completed Organic I and Organic II courses. Teams of two students will be competing using Clickers with the "Fastest Responders" tool. The session will be videotaped and will be posted on Youtube.
