Commemorating the Chemistry Greats - Devanandan Memorial Oration & Launching New IChemC Web site N.M. Sanjaya Hettigedara   |   added on Nov 05, 2011    |    Sri Lanka As part of the new series of orations launched by the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon in 2007 to commemorate the Chemistry greats, the fifth of the series was held to commemorate Dr. Michael Angelo Vincent Devanandan on 9th September 2011 at the P.P.G.L.Siriwardene Auditorium at Adamantane House.

Celebrating IYC at Vadamaradchy, Point Pedro, Northern Province, Sri Lanka N.M. Sanjaya Hettigedara   |   added on Aug 26, 2011    |    Sri Lanka The International Year of Chemistry 2011 was celebrated on a grand scale by the Zonal Education Department of Vadamaradchy on 24 June 2011 at J/Methodist Girls School, Point Pedro. Vadamaradchy Education Zone was the first to organize IYC -2011 celebrations in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka.

Devanandan Memorial Oration and Launching of the new IChemC Website N.M. Sanjaya Hettigedara   |   added on Aug 18, 2011    |    Sri Lanka Dr. Devanandan was a world renowned scientist that Sri Lanka has ever produced. The event is held on the 9th of September 2011 at the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon (IChem C) Adamantane House, Rajagiriya to honour this great scientist of Sri Lanka.
