Fourteenth Award Ceremony of the Australian National Chemistry Quiz Competition _

The Fourteenth Award Ceremony was held on the occasion of celebrating IYC 2011. A large number of students, general public, and industrialists witnessed the occasion.

The Fourteenth Award Ceremony of the Australian National Chemistry Quiz Competition was held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) with participation of a large number of audience as a special Activity of IYC 2011. 

Prof. Tuley de Silva, retired Special Technical Adviser, Chemical Industries Branch, UNIDO, Vienna, Austria, Former Professor of Chemistry and Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science, University of Sri Jayawardenepura, Sri Lanka graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Awards were presented to 35 participants as follows: 

Senior Division

Second Best Performers- 07

Third Best Performers - 09

Junior Division

Best Performer -01

Second Best Performers- 02

Third Best Performers- 03

Fourth Best Performers- 10

Introductory speech was delivered by Prof. J N O Fernando, Dean, College of Chemical Sciences.

27th January 2011 was specially selected for conducting the award ceremony in view of its importance in creating awareness among the general public and students attending the IYC 2011 CHEMEX Exhibition.
