Hosting the 15th annual GC&E conference in partnership with the 5th International Conference on Green and Sustainable Chemistry in Washington, D.C., June 21-23, featuring one, unified program. This event will be kicked-off by the 16th Annual Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Awards on Monday evening, June 20, 2011.
On June 21-23, 2011 we will host the 15th annual Green Chemistry and Engineering Conference in Washington, DC and coupled with the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Awards. This year we will also be co-locating with the 5th International Conference on Green and Sustainable Chemistry - a unified program. Our theme is to reinforce the International Year of Chemistry with programming focused green chemistry for a sustainable future. In addition to thematic sessions across a spectrum of the chemical enterprise, there will be a workshop for undergraduates and possibly a science writer's writer's workshop. Working in conjunction with our parent organization, ACS, we plan to conduct significant programming throughout the year to support IYC with materials coming from the conference proceedings as well. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the basics, dig into leading edge research and applications and network with global green chemistry and engineering leaders. Sponsorship and Exhibitor opportunities are available. You may also wish to attend the 16th Annual Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Awards on Monday evening, June 20, 2011. Students registered at a U.S. institution may be eligible for NSF funded financial support to attend the conference and the student workshop to be held Monday, June 20, 2011.
