This year’s summer camp, in line with the celebration of the year 2011 as International Year of Chemistry (IYC), focuses on providing an understanding of the concepts of Chemistry, particularly in Green Chemistry that will lead to the practical application of these concepts. The subtopics to be presented are Eco-chemistry, Inno-chemistry and Geochemistry. In this camp, the Water Resource Management will be also presented as a special topic. Experts from the said topics will be invited to share their expertise to students and teachers. PSYSC will seek cooperation and much coordination with the partner agencies to make each lecture interactive for the campers. There are also output-based workshops every after the lectures and a field trip that will complete their knowledge in Green Chemistry.
The NYSTESC will also be having team-oriented and fun-filled activities like Entertainment Night, Socials Night, Pasalubong Festival, Over-all Workshops and Quiz Bees that aim to create camaraderie and promote a healthy-competition among participants.
