The Preysz Móric Committee, working in Eötvös József Gimnázium together with its partner, Institut de Genech, France, kindly invites high school students and their mentors to participate in the 4th Symposium of Young researchers of Natural Sciences (YRoNS).
In conjunction with the International Year of Chemistry 2011 initiative, the symposium will be held from April 10 to 15, 2011 in Genech, France and is entitled:
“Planet of Fire and Water: Alterations and Equilibrium in Chemistry and in our Everyday life”.
The YRoNS initiative aims at:
• establishing an International Forum of students carrying out individual research in natural sciences,
• gaining confidence and sharing experience in participating in a science conference as well as developing students’ foreign language skills,
• strengthening partnership bonds and traditions.
The YRoNS symposium will be the opportunity for high school students from different schools and countries to present orally a research project they have carried out, with chemistry as the central science and spanning out on related fields.
This symposium will increase the interest of high school students in chemistry, giving them the opportunity to get involved in experimental research in sciences. It will also set an example of accomplishments in chemistry to fellow students, broadening their understanding of the field as well as of the inner works of research.
Participants will enjoy social activities, tour the neighboring areas (Lille, Paris, Bruges) and get a glimpse at local chemistry related businesses to enrich their YRoNS experience.
