The 1st international chemical industry forum BOLSHAYA KHIMIYA (Big Chemistry 2011) will be held in Ufa, Russia on May 26-28, 2011. It is devoted to perspectives of chemistry development, promotion of creative future of chemistry and increasing of public understanding of chemistry.

 

The 1st international chemical industry forum BOLSHAYA KHIMIYA will be held in the city of Ufa, Republic of Bashkotorstan, Russian Federation on May 26-28, 2011.

Venue: Business Centre CONGRESS HALL. Address: 2, Zaki Validi street, Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan, Russian Federation.

Organisers:  Government of the Russian Federation, Ministry for Economic Development of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bashkortostan.  The event is supported by the largest companies of the region. The organising committee of the forum is chaired by Sergei Naryshkin, Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation. The event is being coordinated by the news and analytic agency RCC Group (Moscow).

Participants: heads of Russian and international companies, directors of chemical and petrochemical facilities, leading scientists and business journalists, Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, plenipotentiary representatives of the RF President in federal districts, heads of Russia’s industrial regions, ministers of regional governments.

Distinguished guests of the forum include: head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation Sergei Naryshkin, deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Igor Sechin, plenipotentiary representative of the Russian president in the Volga Federal District Grigory Rapota, president of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, minister for oil and gas of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sauat Mynbaev and other officials.

Programme:

During the first two days of the forum (26th and 27th May 2011), sessions of two sections will be held in parallel: Bashkortostan’s companies will announce their investment projects for 2011-2030 at the conference’s strategic section; providers of technologies and materials will present promising developments for the refining and petrochemical industries at the technology section. A tour of the largest industrial facilities of Bashkortostan is being arranged for Saturday 28th May 2011. An extensive cultural programme is also provided for the participants.

It will be a great way to celebrate International Year of Chemistry, because it opens perspectives of chemistry development in the Russian Federation and internationally, generates enthusisam for the creative future of chemistry and increases the public appreciaition and understanding of chemistry.
