IYC local events in Finland

Events aimed at the wider public will be organised across Finland to showcase local chemistry expertise and knowhow.

The programmes for these local events include soap bubble competitions and demonstrations designed to foster wider public understanding of chemistry in a relaxed and accessible manner. The events will be organised in following cities:

In April: Oulu, Joensuu, Turku and Jyväskylä

in May: Helsinki and Lahti

in July: Pori

In August: Tampere and Kokkola

in September: Lappeenranta

The events are organised by local organisations of The Finnish Chemical Society in collaboration with other organisations: Finnish Union of Experts in Science (LAL) and the Association of Techers of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Informatics (MAOL)
