These conferences are hold by science Communicators and Scientists from the University of Pisa and from Scientific Institutions.
They will be open to the general public and not specialistic public.
Young people and high school / undergraduate students will be invited to partecipate.
Within these one-year activities, we are planning to propose several conferences dedicated to Chemistry, History of Chemistry and The Role of Chemistry in the Society.
The first two conferences are about Chemistry:
- 25th of March 2011: "Dall'Alchimia alla chimica", Speaker: dr. Alessandro Lenzi.
- 1st of April 2011: "La chimica oggi", Speaker: dr. Valentina Domenici.
The conferences will continue every Friday from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
The contest is the "VILLA CELESTINA" in Castiglioncello (Livorno - Italy) where a large auditorium can host more than 100 people. In this beautiful contest, we will try to deal with Chemistry in a non conventional way, through the stories of live researchers and scientists of the previous Centuries.
This activity is organized by the Museo di Storia Naturale di Rosignano Solvay (Livorno), which is known for its strong relationships with local Schools and Institutes and for promoting Science in the Livorno County.
