National Workshop on Natural Product Chemistry and Laboratory Methods

Lectures by relevant resource persons about natural product chemistry research area and hands-on experiments in natural product chemistry field.

Pokhara University is organizing a two day workshop on Natural Products Chemistry and Laboratory Methods, March 10-11, 2011 at the department of Pharmacy, Pokhara University, Nepal. This is the workshop ever going to be organized of its kind. The uniqueness of this workshop lies in the lectures delivered by the finest scientists of Natural Products Chemistry from different reputed institutions of Nepal and the basic practical training with hands-on demonstration required to conduct research on Natural Products Chemistry.

 

Contents of the Workshop

-    Scientific paper presentations

-    Scientific poster presentations

-    Discussions on the presented papers and posters

-    Basic natural products laboratory techniques

-    Basic animal handling techniques

 

This workshop will definitely highlight  application of chemistry in search of newer drugs from natural source. This event will be a part of celebration of Chemistry as IYC 2011.
