The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is celebrating the International Year of Chemistry to acknowledge the achievements of chemistry, its contributions to the well-being of humankind, and what the future may hold.

Symposia at the AAAS 2011 Annual Meeting include Chemically Speaking: How Organisms Talk to Each Other, Powering the Planet: Generation of Clean Fuels from Sunlight and Water, and a celebration of the 100th anniversary of Marie Curie winning the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

These symposia sessions will take place at the AAAS Annual Meeting in Washington, DC, February 17-21 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. To attend, participants must register in a paid category for the AAAS Annual Meeting.
