11th Workshop of Physical Chemists and Electrochemists is to be organized at Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic during 1-3rd June 2011. This workshop will facilitate interaction of young scientists with experts in the field of biophysical chemistry and all its applications.
Biophysical chemistry is a relatively new branch of chemistry that covers a broad spectrum of research activities using physical methods to study biological systems. The most common feature of the research in this branch is to explain the various phenomena in biological systems using biophysical, bioanalytical and biomathematical methods, procedures and protocols.
We invite investigators to contribute original research that include all modern advances and new trends in biophysical chemistry. We are particularly interested in the proceedings related to determination of nucleic acid (DNA or RNA); sensors and biosensors; nanoscale determination; microfluidic approaches; medicinal, pharmaceutical and environmental analysis; fabrication of new materials; computational methods and approaches. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
a) Biophysical chemistry, fundamentals background;
b) Nanotechnology in biophysical chemistry;
c) Nanomaterials and other new materials;
d) New designs of electrode systems for biological applications;
e) Molecularly-biological application;
f) Drug monitoring and analysis;
g) Environmental monitoring;
h) Clinical analysis.
The conference is trilingual, Czech, Slovak and English.
