Chemistry Art Competion will take place in the Department of Chemistry at Imperial College London.
Members of the Chemistry Department at Imperial College London have organised an Art Competition in the department with the theme of 'Chemistry', open to all members of the chemistry department (staff and students).
The competition will welcome art of all styles and media, to be judged by 3 external artists who work in the fields of oil painting, textiles and research, and photography.
The submissions will be displayed in the department for a month, after which a winner will be announced by the judges, and the wining piece will be hung in the department permanently.
The announcement of the winner will follow a joint lecture between the artist/judge David Cranswick and the Emeritus Professor William Griffith, who will speak together on the joint history of art and chemistry.
