The Hall of Chemistry displays, in a friendly and interactive way, the influence of chemistry in our every day life. Taking as model a modern house, it illustrates how every object and consumable in every section of the house is related to chemistry and how this relates to environment.
Designing and building a house in which most objects have a chemical root is a good way of making general public, but particularly students, be aware of the importance of chemistry in their every-day life: from the tooth paste in the bathroom to processed food in the kitchen, fertilizers in the garden or lubricants in the garage, and then their influence on the environment and ways to protect it. This Hall will be located, from February 16, in the Universum Museum at the National University of Mexico, Mexico City. We believe that this is the best way to celebrate both the International Year of Chemistry and that our School of Chemistry will be 95 years old.
