We are joining Women Sharing a Chemical Moment in Time activity. The research center CICATA Unidad Legaria, from IPN, México is celebrating its 15th anniversary while IPN is celebrating its 75 anniversary. We are delighted to host the Women Breakfast at 8 am PST

Attending the kind invitation to participate on the activities programmed for the celebration of the international Year of Chemistry (IYC-2011), in recognition of the role of women in Chemistry, the organizing Comitee has organized a preliminar program that will start at 10:00 am local hour, (GMT-6) and includes:

Welcome to CICATA research center and breakfast service

Short review on the role of Marie Curie in chemistry, and women contributions to chemical discoveries that benefit humankind.

Oral presentations of Mexican women involved in chemistry matters (researchers, students, educators) followed by a group discussion.

We warmly acknowledge the participation of the following chemist women: Dra. Delia Quintana; Dra. Ruth Pedroza; Dra. Arlette Richaud; MTA Mónica Centeno; MTA Cecilia Chacón; MC Rosario Olguín. We strongly believe that their participation will inspire young women to discover why Chemistry is a central science.
