National Chemistry Week in Singapore

National Chemistry Week is held in end May early June with a variety of activities include speech competition, quizzes, hands-on workshops, Chemistry Camp, Amazing Chemistry Race, visit to Jurong Island and Chemistry related industries, etc. Workshops for teachers will be organised before and after NCW.

National Chemistry Week is held at the end of May and early June with various activities held all over Singapore including NUS, NTU, Ngee Ann polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic, Nanyang Polytechnic, Replublic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, Science Center Singapore, Millennia Institute, NUS High School, Victoria Junior College, Yishun Junior College, ITE College East, Fusionopolis, IMRE, St Andrew's Junior College and likely more institutions.  During NCW, all the institutions will have their own activities which we will advertise on NCW website.

Some of the activities includes Chemistry.Communication Challenge, Fact or Fantasy Quiz, hands-on workshops, Chemistry Camp, Amazing Chemistry Race, visit to Jurong Island and Chemistry related industries, demonstration on ice cream making activity, exhibitions, public lectures, Chemistry in the movies, Career Talk and many more.

The main objectives of the activities is simply to propagate the importance of Chemistry in everyday lives.  Many of the hands-on activities will demonstrate basic Chemistry concepts.  Each member of the main committee will creatively organize their own activities to attract audience not only from Singapore but also the region.  Let's celebrate!
