Networking Breakfast - Colombia

Colombia want to joint to the Women Sharing a Chemical Moment in Time activity which is an IYC activity designed to bring chemistry women together worldwide for a breakfast meeting. This will be held on Tuesday January 18th, 2011.

Besides to networking, the aim is to celebrate the role of Marie Curie in chemistry, and womens contributions to chemical discoveries that benefit humankind. Attending the kindly invitation to participate on the activities programmed in the celebration of the international Year of Chemistry (IYC-2011), for the recognition of the role of women in Chemistry, we, Blanca Ligia Higuera as the president of the Consejo Profesional de Química (National Chemistry Council) and Bárbara Moreno-Murillo as Vice-president of the Sociedad Colombiana de Ciencias Químicas (Colombian Society of Chemical Sciences) want to inform to the organizers and to all scientific community that we were delegated as the mentioned event coordinators. Then, we prepared an invitation to all of our members, highlighting the first century celebration of the first Chemistry Nobel Prize given to Madam Curie in 1911, and we will convoke all of them, to participate in the celebration of this notable event at least in five cities: Bogota, Cali, Medellín, Bucaramanga and Pereira. Today , all of us, are working hard in order to get an exciting event, where professionals from Chemical Sciences could connecting and interconnecting, for today and for long time and to promote the chemical communication and research worldwide.
