IYC Global Water Experiment in the Philippines

The event happened last November 17, 2011, at MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology, Iligan City, in celebration of the International Year of Chemistry. It was participated by freshmen students from ten (10) secondary schools.
The global water experiment was held on November 17, 2011, in celebration of the International Year of Chemistry. It is a way of participating in the World Water Monitoring this year, done worldwide. In the Philippine setting, the activity was conducted simultaneously with the other universities in the Philippines. In Mindanao, the event was hosted by MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology, Ateneo de Davao & Notre Dame of Marbel University.
The participants were freshmen high school students from 10 selected high schools in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur. The highlight of the event was on the experiments that analyzed and treat local water from drainage, sea water and even tap water.
