12 Nov : DAV Public School, Unit-VIII ,Bhubaneswar celebrated the International Year of Chemistry (IYC) 2011 today in the school.An inter-school poster competition on the theme ‘Chemistry in Life’ was held on this occasion in which 40 students from 20 different schools spread all over Odisha participated.

 

An inter-school poster competition on the theme ‘Chemistry in Life’ was held on this occasion in which 40 students from 20 different schools spread all over Odisha participated. The prize giving ceremony began with the welcome to the Judges and

the Chairman of DAV Kalinga Nagar followed by their speeches. The 1st  Prize - Ishani Aishwarya of DAV Public School, Unit-VIII, 2nd  Prize – S. Subhashree, DAV Public School Anugul,

3rd  Prize – Varsha Guin of SCB Medical Public School, Cuttack and consolation prizes for Bidyashree Sahu of DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur & Tanisha Rout of St. Xavier’s High School, Kedargouri were given away by Mr. Sarat Chandra Mishra,

IPS, Retd. DG of Police and Chairman of DAV Public School, Kalinga Nagar,Bhubaneswar.

The function ended with a vote of thanks by the Co-ordinator of the school Mrs. Mamta Banerjee.
