The University Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah, Faculty of Sciences Dhar El Marhaz Fez in collaboration with Moroccan Group of Heterocyclic Chemistry are organizing an International Symposium in Fez, Morocco, on 27-28 October 2011, entitled: "HETEROCYCLIC CHEMISTRY: VALUE ADDING, PROSPECTS AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT"

Following their 63rd General Assembly, the Unites Nations General Assembly has declared 2011 the International Year of Chemistry. In 2011 the world will celebrate the chemical sciences and their contributions to knowledge, environmental protection and economic development.

In this regard, the Moroccan 8th National Meeting of Heterocyclic Chemistry (RNCH) is broadening its horizons as an International Symposium on heterocyclic chemistry and is open to chemists, economists and companies interested in various aspects of this branch of chemistry. It aims to be a forum where Moroccan and international participants can discuss the latest advances in the field of heterocyclic chemistry and forge contacts between different scientific, economic and social partners.

The Symposium is also an opportunity to present new chemical processes developed to meet the requirements of the 3rd millennium: new chemistry for sustainable development.

Considering the number of national and international participants who borders the 250 researchers and the number of demand of national and international researchers to present a conference or an oral presentation at the symposium, the organizing committee decided the following:
- The Official Opening Ceremony of the Symposium is programmed for  Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 5 pm.
- The conference will be organized over 3 days (October 27-29, 2011) instead of two days envisaged initially.
