A Workshop on "Contributions of Madam Curie " will be organised at Jagdam College and Jaglal College, Chapra, Bihar, India on November 5, 2011 to commemorate the centenery of the award of Nobel Prize in Chemistry to Madam Marie Curie.
A one day Workshop on "Contributions of Madam Curie" will be organised on November5,2011 at Jagdam College and Jaglal Choudhary College, Chapra , Bihar, India as a tribute to the legendary chemical scientist, Madam Marie Curie.The event will commemorate the centenery of the award of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry to Madam Curie. The workshop is being organised in a non-metropolitan city-Chapra in Bihar State and hence assumes a lot of importance.
The workshop comprises1)three talks by eminent scientists 2)oral presentations by teachers from nearby areas including rural areas, 3)poster presentations by teachers and 4)a Quiz on 'Madam Curie and Radioactivity'for school and junior college students. Prizes will be awarded for best oral and poster presentations as well as the winners of the quiz competition.
