Series of events being organized and/or co-organized by the Department of Chemistry of the UST College of Science from September to December 2011: -Design the 'Chem Board' -Essay Writing Contest -Amazing Chemistry: A day of lecture and experiments @UST -Poster Making Contest -Water Experiment

The Department of Chemistry, in cooperation with the UST College of Science, is pleased to announce its participation in the celebration of the International Year of Chemistry 2011.

 A series of events is being organized and/or co-organized by the department from September to December 2011,

  • Design the 'Chem Board'

             - For UST BS Chemistry Students  

             -Theme per year level varies, but all centering on water

          - Every month, students from each year level will feature in the Chemistry display board (at the College of Science) the theme assigned to them

                - 4th Year BS Chemistry Students: September

- 3rd Year BS Chemistry Students: October

- 2nd Year BS Chemistry Students: November

- 1st Year BS Chemistry Students: December

 

 

  • Essay Writing Contest

 

-    For UST students at the Tertiary level

-    Theme uses the IYC’s theme:  ‘Chemistry – our life, our future’

 

  •  Amazing Chemistry: A day of lecture and experiments @UST

-    For HS freshmen students at the National Capital Region

-    Theme: Amazing Chemistry

 

 

  • Poster Making Contest

                - For students at the Primary and Secondary Levels nationwide, Ages 10-16

 

-    Theme uses the IYC’s theme:  ‘Chemistry – our life, our future’

 

 

  • Water Experiment

 

-    For HS students nationwide
