Students and teachers understand the mechanism of voltaic cells, through the experiments from the Japanese first chemistry book "Seimi-Kaiso (1837)" written by Yoan Udagawa.

Program: 10:30-11:45 Seminar of western learning in Tsuyama and the experiment of

a voltaic cell (for teachers)

13:30-14:30 Fabrication of a voltaic cell in the Edo Era (for kids)

 

Participants: Elementary and junior high teachers (a.m.)

Elementary 5-6 grade students (p.m.)
