Interactive session for 9 grade students: "Chemistry - our life, our future"

Interactive session for students of grades 9 and above and chemistry teachers at ITB (Bandung institute of Technology) on 28th July 2011 Bandung.

On 28th July 2011 Oracle Education Foundation in collaboration with ITB (Bandung Institute of Technology)  and Indonesia Chemist Association (HKI) will hold an interactive session with students of grades 9 and above accompanied by their chemistry teachers at CC ITB  Bandung. There will be at least 150 students and teachers attending the session. The aim of this interactive event is to encourage the interest of young people in chemistry by giving them opportunities to ask questions to a chemistry expert from ITB on how chemistry affects their life and future, and hear someone's success story winning an International Competition in related with chemistry.

The following names are speakers in the session:

1. Sigit Adinugroho from Oracle Education will introduce the students to an online learning platform ThinkQuest.

2. Sofijandi, a teacher from SMAN 22 Bandung will explain on how to join chemistry connect with ThinkQuest  and create a chemistry project with ThinkQuest for International chemistry project and ThinkQuest International Competition 2012.

3. Dr. Muhamad A Martoprawioro a chemistry expert from ITB will talk about  Chemistry: our life and future.  

4. Genta Indra Winata a former SMAN 4 high school student will share his experience winning International ThinkQuest project 2011 by submiting his project: Algae's Power Cycle, Transform Nothing into wealth
