Kick off the 2011-2012 school with a bang using ready-to-use resources written by teachers, for teachers, from the Journal of Chemical Education. We'll share ways to help you focus on the International Year of Chemistry and beyond, including hands-on activities, short icebreakers, class projects, and more.
When the 2011–2012 school year begins, only a few months will remain of the International Year of Chemistry (IYC). This presentation will share ready-to-use resources from the Journal of Chemical Education for teachers to use this excellent opportunity to build enthusiasm for chemistry at the start of the school year and beyond. Resources will largely center around the final two IYC 2011 quarterly themes chosen by the American Chemical Society, materials and health. Resources will include class projects, short icebreakers, hands-on activities, and more that are ready to go with little teacher preparation.
