The workshop will cover topics including commercialisation of research, patenting, importance of searching prior art, and exploiting intellectual property, with particular reference to the field of chemistry. Representatives of the Italian National Research Council (CNR), the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM), ReTe Ventures and European Patent Attorneys will present the perspectives of national aspects of dealing with intellectual property. Case studies and patent strategies for exploiting IP assets will be presented by companies and researchers in order to encourage research and innovation .
