From Nanomedicine to Chemical Ecology - a Series of Conferences, in Colombia, on topics covering the main goals of the IYC 2011

First Conference: "The importance of Chemistry in Nanomedicine Development as new care on Health", by Doctor Laura Lechuga scientist of the International Center of Nanotecnology at Barcelona, Spain. April 29, 4 pm at the National Library Luis Angel Arango of the State Bank (Banco de la Republica)

The pool of institutions conformed by  The Consejo Profesional de Quimica (National Council of Chemistry) The Colombian Society of Chemical Sciences, The Universidad Nacional  de Colombia and the Academia Colombiana de Ciencias Exactas Fisicas y Naturales are programing several conferences, publications and workshops  related with the goals proposed by the IYC 2011 Committee.

The first conference will be  do on 29 of April 2011 in Bogotá, Colombia ,with Dr. Laura Lechuga as lecturer,  and it will be transmitted by videoconference to 15 cities of the country, through The National Net of Libraries of the Banco de la Republica. We wait about 500 attendants in Bogota, and similar amount through the teleconference.

Other conferences included: History of Chemistry in Colombia in June 2011, Pedagogical tools to improve education in high school  in August and  Fundamentals of Chemical Ecology, which now we are preparing and later we will update.

We are waiting about 500 attendants and it will be presented as teleconference in 15 cities of Colombia through the National Net of Libraries (RBBR).
