The National Conference on 'Recent Trends in Chemistry' is being organised by Department of Chemistry, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim, India on January 23-25, 2012 to update the scientific and academic communities with the current advancement in different areas of Chemistry.
The National Conference on "Recent Trends in Chemistry " (RTC-2012) is being organised by Department of Chemistry,Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology,Majitar, Rangpo,East Sikkim,India in collaboration with Association of Chemistry Teachers, Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (TIFR), Mumbai on January 23-25, 2012.
RTC 2012 is being organised in Sikkim-one of the most beautiful and picturesque states of India with its own distinct and rich culture. The Himalayan state of Sikkim has been described as "the land of orchids" and "the land of tranquility".It is a tourist's paradise in the true sense of the word.
The Conference aims at updating the scientific and academic communities with the current advancement in different areas of Chemistry and will provide them a platform for interaction and exchange of ideas.The conference will cover the following broad areas:

Green Chemistry
Nanomaterials
Supramolecular Chemistry
Recent trends in Catalysis
Polymer Chemistry

Environmental Chemistry
Applied Physical Chemistry
Research papers pertaining to the themes of RTC2012 are invited for oral/poster presentation .The selected abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings.
